What to expect in my classes
All of my classes are suitable for all levels including beginners as I strongly believe in everyone practicing their yoga together as it is not about how long you have been practicing yoga or how good you are at it. It is about how can you adapt the practice to suit your body, your mood, your ability. We all have different abilities and disabilities from each other and I think that it is important that we all accept each others level of practice and enjoy the yoga together and that is why I add modifications/ variations into all of my classes so that everyone has a choice on where they take their yoga, based on your ability and what you are wanting from your practice.
Leise encourages you to listen to your body and what feels right for you.

Maybe one day you have had a fantastic day and it makes you feel powerful and strong and that will effect how you will want your yoga practice to go that day but another day could have been tiring, emotional, draining and that will also effect your yoga practice.
Each class is for 1 1/2 hours so that we can not only have a combination of Slow Flow Yoga, Vinyassa, Hatha, Yin/Restorative with emphasis on body, breath and emotional awareness but we also include breath work, savasana, and guided meditation because it all goes together beautifully and you can practice it in one class rather than book seperate sessions.. It is suitable for beginners or those who have practiced before.
Every class varies each week with a lovely mixture so that it never gets repetitive and classes are warm and welcoming in a non-judgemental space, open to all, where you are welcome to do as much or as little as you like and after the postural work we all start our winding down by going into mindful breath work releasing tension throughout our whole self and preparing the body to go into a beautiful relaxing guided meditation from a savasana, to finish your practice perfectly, helping you to relax, unwind and improve your sleep.

At the moment classes are held in the Soul yoga Studio on Mile End Lane, Mile End, Stockport SK2 area until the new studio is built later this year and on beautiful days we can often take our practice into the garden where it is always a beautiful addition to have the fresh air and bird song around us. Students are asked to bring their own mat as I am unable to supply them at the moment due to the current situation but I do have a couple spare if someone wants to try the classes before investing in a mat of their own. (This can be organised by prior arrangement)
meditation blankets and pillows are provided but you are also welcome to bring with you a nice snugly blanket of your own if you have a favourite one as it is always a lovely prop to bring especially for the relaxing meditations and cool down but and of course a water bottle.
The classes have a lovely relaxed but happy atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to get the most out of their practice but more importantly, to have fun and everyone is so friendly and welcoming to the point that we have become a real Soul family and new members to our family are always extremely welcome.

The practices themselves can increase flexibility, relieve stress, anxiety and muscle tension and they can also improve energy levels and sleeping problems.

Everyone is welcome and always nice to have new additions to our Soul Yoga family.
